On Wednesday, December 20th, join LABIC as we takeover Sip & Sonder for our second annual DIASPORA holiday event.  Started in 2016, this event highlights and celebrates organizations, companies, and individuals that contribute to the South Los Angeles DIASPORA:

Development. Innovation. Acceleration. Sustainability. Politics. Opportunity. Relationships. Action.

DIASPORA will feature two guest speakers on stock market trading, a special guest performance by singer songwriter Itanza Lawrence, music courtesy of dj.shErOck*, great drinks and food, and surprise giveaways!  You’ll also have a chance to fundraise for our host Sip & Sonder, a truly inspired and inspiring organization opening in Inglewood in early 2018!

MEET OUR SPEAKERS

BREANNA HENDERSEN, an Inglewood native, is the founder of BCCI Group, LLC, which provides strategic management and finance investment options to small businesses and individuals in need of creative solutions.  BCCI Group's primary goal is to develop wealth cooperatively, while becoming a permanent resource for minorities in all areas of finance and investing.  Prior to BCCI Group, Breanna was an auditor for Deloitte and the Finance and Accounting Manager for Bisnow Media Corp. Breanna is a graduate of Norfolk State University, and holds a dual masters degree in Accounting and in Management.

IKE IKEME, a graduate of Utah Valley University with an MBA from the University of Utah, is a former senior executive at Fibernet Corporation and Nethosting.com, banker at JPMorgan Chase, CFO at Morrell International, and professor of finance and economics at Salt Lake Community College and Utah Valley University.  Throughout Ike's career he has focused on business and entrepreneurial education as a means to advance underdeveloped and underrepresented communities.  Ike is currently completing his final year at UCI Law School and will be joining Kirkland & Ellis LLP as an attorney in 2018.
